the 7900GTO or the X1950PRO? a friend was offering to trade me his card for mine, but which is better?

X1950! mainly because i like the series, and it has AVIVO, etc. The GTO might be faster, but you cant beat the 1900+ for ATi.

The 7900GTO is the one to go for:

7900GTO = X1900XT > X1950 Pro

As for the X1950 Pro being $279, the MSRP is $200 I believe, but it is overpriced right now because of being understocked.

naw, my friend has that x1950Pro and he wanted an nVidia card but his parents bought him an ATI card for his birthday and if the x1950Pro was better then my 7900GTO, then i woul have traded him

Nothing really as your card is basically an underclocked 7900 GTX. I got my X1900XT for $300 and your card is only slightly slower than mine. Your card should be great until you decide to get the newer DX10 cards that come out.

The X1900XT would be the next card up from yours, @ $260 or so, when they get back in stock
