Which site do you prefer?

I just joined the forum today and have already noticed that a lot of you use newegg. I shop for all my parts on TigerDirect. I was just wondering, why Newegg? Are they actually cheaper than Tiger? Better service? More selection? What? (I want to save money here!)

Ive found newegg has better service, less rebates, and cheaper prices :). Either one though will suite your needs, both great websites.
 
I use Newegg when they are cheaper, but I will also use tigerdirect or pcclub from time to time depending on who's cheaper.

Newegg has always done me right. If ever I have had a problem they have always worked with me to get it fixed. But I have noticed lately that they will raise prices over MSRP if something is in high demand and short supply, which really sucks! But they are in business after all. So I guess I can't blame them.

I started buying from them back in December of 2002. Prior to that I always bought from a local computer shop.

The first part I ever bought from them was a Geforce4 TI 4200 video card. It rocked for it's day.

I have bought stuff from both, but the majority of what I have bought has come from Tiger Direct. I like their customer service if I have a problem with something that I have ordered, and their shipping seems to be very prompt, usually I get my stuff within 2-3 days, and it's not really that expensive for shipping. I like Tiger better, but NewEgg also has some good deals.
 
I tend to buy either from Tigerdirect or Newegg depending on their price. Personally I have never had trouble with either one, but I tend to order more from Newegg because they tend to have a greater selection and lower prices.
 
It depends on what I am looking for... Tigerdirect has better cheap stuff like cables, cheap fans, etc. Newegg has better pricing on good name brand stuff...
 
Most people choose newegg for the shipping. I don't think there is a huge difference in price between the two but newegg's shipping is really good.
