looking at the E, CW, or maybe the Y series (a little small for my liking)

Also, anyone know a good place to get them? Im a student so I think I can get a discount from the sony website but it still might not be the cheapest. Also, will I get the same warranty if I buy it from another website?

What will you use the laptop for primarily?

The manufacturer's warranty will always be the same if purchased through the manufacturer or authorized dealers. Third party "extended" warranties will vary by the seller.

Be wary of any non-authorized dealers!! You will most likely not even get the the manufacturer's warranty.

You should check out a tool called PC Scout. You can compare the different Sony laptops to see which one is the best fit. There are also links for purchasing the laptops once you make a decision. Do you know what you will be using the laptop for?
