9800 pro has 8 pipelines, while the 9600 has only 4, huge advantage, there are some other things but less important, even when 9600 has 256MB the 9800 is better.
 
Very tough decision. I say you get the 9600XT because you already said you would, and i already said no to two people because you asked me first :)

But the 9800PRO exceeds in some games, but in some newer games the 256MB helps slightly.

Wrong.

The 9800Pro is the far superiour card of the two. The 9600XT has little or no advantage of the extra memory.

In case you didnt get it, im trying to get him to buy my video card. Since he already said he was going to, and i had to turn two people down because he said he was still interested, and I dont want him to think that it's a horrible card so he wont get it.

I didnt say the 96XT is horrible, but he asked a question which I answered.

Oh ok, thats all that matters :)

And i guess i shouldnt have said that, but the 9800PRO is better, but the 9600XT is still a decent card, especially for the price im selling it at.
