i would just like some opinions from people as to which waterblock they like better. they both give about the same temperatures before anybody asks

Hmm, id still say the EK just because you can visually check flow visually, and i like the ek waterblocks in general.

Although this heatkiller is arguably the best block on the market:

Edit: also, that first one looks a bit slimmer, which means it would have less flow rate than one with a larger flow area...Less restritive = better

I still dont get liquid cooling even after reading the guides
 
i like the look of the EK, copper coated in nickle plating by any chance?

i just bought an EK supreme socket 1366 water block and the quality is very nice, come factory lapped!!
 
I've always used EK waterblocks for watercooling and I think these waterblocks are the bests on the market. best finishes, best performs, best looks.
Just +1 for EK in general

If you cant get it now you wont.... Waterblocks are sold aftermarket as cards with waterblocks on them for one, the waterblocks usually suck, have aluminum and copper, or cost way too much.
 
But most GPUs have plastic covering and fan so for liquid cooling we just remove the plastic casing and fixed the aftermarket cooling
and we need a radiator for using an aftermarket cooler

With these you would hook it up to a watercooling loop, with a radiator, pump, cpu waterblock, resorvoir, etc. You dont just remove the casing, you remove the entire heatsink from the card so its just the circuit board with the gpu's attached:

Then you would attach the waterblock, then attach the waterblock with tubing and fittings to the watercooling loop.

Is that supposed to be a question? Im pretty sure just a noob knows plenty about watercooling... And yes you need a watercooling loop to use a gpu with a waterblock...
