While I play games after a short time I get a crackling sound over the game sound

I have an Asus 53KSJ series - model 53KS. every time I play a game (Skyrim, Darksiders etc) after a shot time I will start to hear a crackling sounds over the sound of the game. It can also happen after a long time if I just listing to music.

I tried to reinstall the sound drivers "Realtek HD Audio Manager" but that didn't work.

Any ideas ?

With this being a laptop its gonna be hard to diagnose. With a desktop you could easily buy a dedicated sound card. They are available for laptops but not sure of the price. You could try wiping windows and reinstall fresh to see if it still happens. If so then you have a bad onboard sound chip.
 
Ouch...
Is there any web sites that can run a test or something like that would tell me what the problem ?
