Hey. Does anyone know how to get rid of this thing? It always pops up the white bar next to the start menu where I circle.

go into the task manager and see if there are any applications running, if there are check the process and end it, then disable it using msconfig or your internet security software.:)

right click on the taskbar and select "task manager"

to get to msconfig, go to "Run..." from the start menu and type 'msconfig'

I would first run some virus and ad/spy/malware scans...

Also, if it is something that pops up when you log in, go to the startup tab in msconfig and uncheck the startup item..

Its not a virus. I checked it already, its just another normal pop up. What is the the white bar called in the miscofig and what tab is it under. I couldn't find it, please help me with some more questions.

right click on the taskbar and select "task manager"
Click the processes tab write down any that you don't recognize.

to get to msconfig, go to "Run..." from the start menu and type 'msconfig'
click the startup tab this is a list of all processes started when you startup your computer. Uncheck all the processes you wrote down from the task manager.
Restart your computer. The bar should be gone. if not go back to msconfig startup tab and uncheck one thing from the list. Restart. If it's still there repeat and restart.
After the white bar has gone away. go back to msconfig and click the checkbox on all the items in the startup list EXEPT the last one you unchecked.

When does the this "white bar" seem to happen? StartUp, Random, on when using certain apps?

If it is occuring on startup, we'll need to see whats programmed to start up on boot, follow mp34life directions and do a print screen.

It's hard to determine what processes should and shouldnt be currently running without knowledge of what applications you have installed.

I do notice that you have msmsgs.exe and msnmsgr.exe running, if you do not currently have two messengers running(which from the looks of the screenshot you dont) the msmsgs.exe may be the W32.Alcarys.B@mm worm.

Although msmsgs.exe may just be windows built in messenger program loading at startup, so again more information is needed for us to further assist you.
