who has the G5?

i need to know how long the mouse cord is? because if its not long enough im going to have to man up and get the G7. the cord has to be at least 8 feet long.
 
For the $100 of the G7, I'd recommend the MX Revolution (I just got it, and it's got a few extra feature that the G7 doesn't). Otherwise, in general mouse cords are about 6', which then you could get an extension cable that could cover the remaining distance...
 
the MX has a few features i dont like tho. and one thing i was reading at several places was that the laser system that is in the MX is far less superior that the G5 or G7.

but i think im going to buy the G5. open it and see if its long enough. and if its no ill return it for the G7.

Most places are going to be around $15 - $20 for an extension, where you can just invest that money in the wireless, instead... :)

If you buy the cable at a store, yes it will be that much. But you can find them at online sites such as newegg for around $5.
 
i bought the G7 at work for 60 bucks with my discount. i love it, it feels so nice. i also bought the G15 which is also aweosme. loving life right now.
 
G5 is a great mouse, and the chord is very long... h/o lemme measure it.

well... i cant find a tape measure but i can tell you that its at least 7'...
its more than 1' longer than i am tall, and im around 6' so yea its long enough to say the least... plus you can always buy a USB 2.0 extension cable :)
make sure its a USB 2.0 extension... some cables don't support full USB 2.0 speed... wouldnt want your accuracy to be compromizd... lol might as well go wireless right...
if i were getting a new mouse i'd just get the G7 though, its the same thing but wireless (2.4ghz supposedly up to 30ft range)

-dude i just bought it because it has Polytetrafluoroethylene gaming feet.
