I played for a few months and quickly lost interest. Its not worth the monthly fee to keep playing and requires to much of a time commitment to sit down and play it all the time to get anywhere. Not to mention you wont many people on there that DONT spend all day everyday playing it so not many are willing to help you out.

I played it for a while and enjoyed it, but once you get to level 30 or so and start to really figure the game out and how it works, it is no longer a game, but rather a chore. And you keep playing it to feed your addiction. Before you know it you are calling out of work to play it, staying up 2 days in a row, things like that. Maybe I just have an addictive personality, but it seemed to suck me in even though I had made a conscious decision that I did not like the game.

I actually liked the game, and no, I dont consider myself to be a nerd. tough, after a wile it got boring, and I stopped playing it, but it was fun the time it lasted.

I use to play it....RUN if you have a social life outside of PC gaming or get into a really good guild that only requires you to log on for raids and pays for your repairs/pots. Only way I could keep playing since I had collage/work to deal with.
God bless my guild though for funding me got to see all the content in the game which if you ask any WoW player thats difficult to find. 99% of the guilds wont have a huge guild bank to be able to do such kind gestures.
Nerds don't only play it...grandparents to little kids play it. We had a 77 year old man and women that use to raid to give you a idea how the array of people who play.

nerds play it...it's true, but nerds play all games. Nobody expected me and my friends to play when I was in highschool because we all played at least two sports.
I'm in the military now and play with a few old friends and some new ones...it's a decent way to keep in touch.
ANYWAY just avoid the addiction and use the "everything in moderation" rule...which should be used with everything anyway and you will be fine. Don't let relationships suffor for it though, because I read an article where a lady divorced her husband because of his WoW addiction.
My advice is play it for the 10 days, and if you like it a lot then get it, but if you think it's mediocar then don't. Also take breaks from it because if you don't you will get addicted and bored...which sounds retarded but it's true.

How could you say that? I suppose it could get repetitive after a long time but I can easily go back to it the next day and have fun again...

In my opinion, WoW is possibly the worst game ever. Like, seriously... Why!?
If I wanted shitty graphics, I'd go play a SNES.
If I wanted shitty game-play, I'd go play Jerhico.
If I wanted to talk to shitty 12 year olds, I'd go play CS:S.
If I wanted to waste my money on a shitty game, I'd go buy WoW.

WoW is way better than CoD4 tbqfh. CoD gets boring after about 20 hours played online. I'm a rank 35 and I stopped playing because it was so god damn boring. Warcraft has something new to do all the time.

its all about what kind of game you like. YOu cant say that game is shit, and this one isnt, its all your oppinion.
as for Korn, if I wanted to play a shooter wich absolutely brings nothing new, I'll go play CoD4 again. yea, the game was fun, to play once through the singleplayer, wich was way too short. we have to dish out 60 euro's for a new game here, and with CoD4 you only get like 4 maybe 5 hours of playtime, sorry, but imo there is no excuse for that. (and yea, I dont care about the multiplayer, its only full of people who need to state their ego or something. so dont tell me my arguments are invalid, you have your oppinion, fine, but I have mine too. -.-
