I am trying to order a Tape Drive (link below)

for a customer, but I just recently found out that Tape Drives are considered "old school" now

Can anyone please assist me on what I should be running with the "new generation"

I will probably be purchasing products from this company.

Anyone help guys? I will also be using it with Symantec Backup Exec 2012, so hopefully both can be compatible with each other.

Thanks

I think people in 1975 still use tape drives.

Overpriced because they are ancient antiques. Just get HDDs, or SSDs. I would go with HDD for reliable data storage but make sure you go with a good brand, Iv seen Western Digital drives last decades so I stick with them never had one fail yet although the 2 I have now were acting wierd before.

trash it.
Worse case and works well is microdrive and carry in your pocket. SSD works well.
Tape is slow. let it go. your outdated and waste of time. and slow.
