Who still uses 3DMark?

I don't know if it's just my age, or if this has been the trend overall. I remember back in the mid/late 2000's and early 2010's, benchmarks like 3DMark were all the rage, with people competing for the highest scores and so forth. I haven't run this benchmark in years, and IMO it just doesn't seem to have the same appeal as it once did.

Are computers just getting to the point where it doesn't matter as much? Or are we as a CF community just getting old and not caring anymore?

CF as a community is a feeble shadow of its former self, pretty much most of our discussion threads are dead save a handful. I know me and @beers have used it and compared scores, notably with his 290 on a 390 vBIOS. Did some comparisons there and also how my 8320 held me back versus his 4770K(?)

Lies.. everything is perfect

The fire strike test is fairly relevant. The free version is annoying though since it does a presentation demo before doing the full benchmark of the same scene.

You don't even know. You haven't been here nearly long enough to have known CF in its full glory days :P
