who wants $50??

right im bloody sick of this!!! i'm willing to give anyone $50 if they can tell me what software i can use to edit video, i have .mpg .avi .wmv you know all the common file types.
edit meaning chop frames/section i don't want and piece it back together easerly.
because i have used 100's of programs and they dont work well.

have you tried virtualdub, free and pretty easy to use

its not got the amount of tools of something like adobe premier (which you might want to try if this isnt enough). But it does the job for simple tasks

thanks it works so far but whan i save the file its 5x the size like 1.5gb for a couple of minutes when the orignal video file was from a crappy 640x480 digital camera about 60mb file size.
i tryed "save as old format" thinking that it would save the file the same format/compression as what the camera does .avi obviously it doesnt

on the top menu's click on video and ensure that you have it marked as "direct stream copy", same goes for Audio too.

Then when you do save as avi it should do it back to the normal size
