intigrated LAN and audio 5.1 or better
USB insted of PS/2
i dont think i need firewire...yet
SATA for my HD //IDE for CD/DVD ??
RAID ???wtf???
dual channel RAM sounds cool

am i missing any thing? as you can tell i dont really know as much as i should, so lay it all on me what you think and any links you got. i already have a SATA HD and a 24x IDE cd burner. bugget is about 500-700. i have lots of money i just dont want to pour it all into a computer. i would like to upgrade this copmuter later down the road so keep that in mind. thanks for the help!!

1. Do have a look at this 101, may be useful http://www.computerforum.com/showthread.php?t=16363 :)

2. You'll need to find out what CPU we're getting a motherboard for ... since it's an AMD chip you'll be able to read the codes on the chip (before you buy it even) ... if you can tell me the code on your CPU corresponding to the 2nd line as below (i.e., the one that reads "ADA3800DEP4AW"), then i can help specifically

3. About your RAID questions have a look at RAID 101 and for your HDD questions, HDD 101. I can probably safely say that RAID shouldnt be a major selling point for you and you should probably stick with a SATA harddrive (and yes almost every CD/DVD drive you'll encounter will be "IDE")

4. If I recall from our past discussions correctly .. you're not heavy into the videogaming scene so a basic X300SE or 6200 videocard should be more than sufficient (get the cheaper of the two)

5. You dont have to worry about USB vs PS2 because all motherboards worth anything have both. Almost all mobos have NICs in them and most of them have 5.1 onboard sound on them too

6. What's your budget? :)

bugget is about 500-700. thats for every thing moniter printer key and mouse. cheap is good but i want quality.

a good point to add is a friedn of mine can get some deals at a local computer store(real comp store not circiut city). i plan on getting my case there. i dont know about prices compared to newegg or other sites.

Well since a monitor (and printer) is often a personal preference type of thing ... you'd have to decide on that yourself (i remember you asked abotu LCD/CRT but i dont rmemebr which you decided on) ... keyboard and mouse ... a good set shouldnt set you back more than say $40

Another thing you may want to invest in is a decent PSU ... some suggestions in PSU 101.
