Who's getting the 360?

Seems like everyone on here talks about PC gaming, curious who's got their ticket for the 360? I work at Wal-mart, so I'll be working when it comes out. Which means I'll get mine easily. What's nice is, for the holidays Wal-Mart lets employees get 20% off one item. Guess what I'll be using that on :D
 
im not geting any cuz i herd that the program they are going to use is complacted and hard for the 360 and the ps3 to read and there for making the ai retarted
 
Have any of you even tried the Xbox 360? I have, they have them at Best Buy and EBGames here, the graphics are good but its not like i havent seen the same or better on a PC.
 
I played CoD2 on it. It's nothing special, looks almost the same as the PC version. The texture's in some areas are not pretty. I'm probably being picky, but this is a next-gen system now. The framerate is great though, with so much happening at once. I still have faith that the later games will use the technology much better though, so I'm getting one for sure
 
I'm still playing games for the first time on the first XBOX. I played Halo 2 for an hour or 2 and was not impressed at all. I remember when my friends argues how the graphics wers so good and better than any PC....hehe, yah right. Graphics blew in that game, and it was tremendously slow to render the movies as they played.

Won't be getting a 360, or a PS3. Unless someone gives one to me lol.

i might get an ps3 but only to play games like socom, or gran turismo, or metal gear soild but it might be a wast of money but i dont care i LOVE those games so i will NOT get the xbox 360 and it will be some time before i get a ps3
 
IU'll get one when its $200 or less, just like I did my xbox. But, for now, its my PC especially with all the new games like AOE 3, FEAR, Quake 4, and COD 2.
 
As i said before, the 360 is good but its over rated. The graphics arnt any better then PC, and some PC's look better then the 360. We'll see when it come out in retail stores.
 
I'm no so sure if it's over rated. Consoles have their place and the 360 will be a great console. I'm not interested in consoles so much so I doubt I'll ever make the purchase.

Its just from everything i've read and seen on this forum about how the 360 will beat any PC in performance and in terms of graphics, and after playing it at Best Buy they dont seem that "extraordinary" to me. I wonder what the PS3 will look like in terms of graphics :rolleyes:
 
I'm getting one for sure, just to play certain games that I can't get on my PC. Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero for starters. Frame City Killers for X-mas, and I'm set for this year. Most of my gaming will be done on PC, but like I said, games not on PC, I'll get on XBox. And since I already know 360 is the only Next-gen console I'll get, might as well get it now, regardless of what the Ps3 and Revolution look like.
 
Im getting a ps3. That is only for GTA if it comes ut on there and the fact it plays blue ray disksand finaly that I got like 20 ps2 games, and have smashed my PS2 up. Hence I want something to play them on so getting a PS3 would prove very usefull there. But both will be amazing consoles. Wish I lived in US and worked at Walmart or whatever its called. 20% discount thats amazing :eek:
 
maybe when the price goes down. the only reason i even got an xbox was to play halo, and after halo 2 im in no rush to get an xbox 360. i will be getting a ps3 though.

Not to bash on Sony, but no backwards compatibility has been announced for the Ps3. I've been reading that it's getting much more difficult to do nowadays, so they might be in the same situation as M$ when it comes to that. But yeah, I'm definitely excited about my 20% :) I'll be getting the Premium system for the same price that people are getting the Core system for.

But hopefully for me, the GTA series will be on the 360 as well. RE5 has been confirmed for it, so that'll keep me busy for a while. Then I'll have Scarface and The Godfather to mess with, in case GTA doesn't come to the 360
