For my profession I regularly need to research a lot of information, stay up-to-date very well and be able to retrieve information quickly which I read.
Sources which I generally use are news portals, special interest portals, blogs, RSS feeds, etc. But the amount of available sources and information makes it quite difficult for me to remember everything and retrieve it later.
For this I use bookmarks, RSS feed reader software and an own Excel-based archive system. But I have never really been satisfied with this system.
Now, I noticed the software Esobi which is kind of a RSS feed and news reader and provides a library to store and retrieve web content. Moreover, it has a meta search functionality where one can pre-select the source for searches, e.g. blogs, feeds, podcasts, etc.
This looks promising and hopefully it can increase my information research productivity. I would like to get more input from users who use Esobi, in which way they use it and how one can best profit from that tool. This is very important for my work, so please don't hesitate to give me any kind of feedback and experiences.
Thanks!
