They are allowed to run because some people like you do not find humor in it, some people like me do find humor in it. If you do not like it, if it repulses you, offends you, or disgusts you, the answer is simple: DONT LOOK AT IT.

Sites like rotten.com are allowed to be on the net just to give you the feeling that internet is a free space with liberty of the speech. But if you are seeking some real information (of a certain kind), then you'll see that the internet is censored big time...

its an interest for certain people of that taste. keeps them coming back to that site supporting it. just dont think about.. i have forgotten about it for a good couple years now.. until.. you.. brought.. it.. up.. lol.

the first one i ever saw was the train accident.. mmm o man..

Rotten is pretty light compared to some.

But same goes for pr0n and everything else, if it upsets you don't look. :)

Seriously, I dont mean to rant and rave, but im fed up with this morality movement. Janet Jacksons boob pops out and everyone goes nuts. Howard Stern is basically forced off the air and is now moving to Satellite. The FCC wants to extend its bastard reach to cable and even subscription services like HBO. Can you imagine The Sopranos or Deadwood without swearing? If I wanted to live in the 50's in Pleasantville, USA I would build a time machine and go back there. You people who bitch about these "obscene and immoral" gestures/sayings/websites/tv shows/etc. can go f**k yourselves. Think of this like your taste in food. Lets say you really like apple pie but you absolutely hate pumpkin pie. You would then eat apple pie and stay away from pumpkin pie. Its no different than anything else. You have the CHOICE to decide "hmmmm, do i want apple pie or pumpkin pie?" just as you have the choice "hmmmm, do i want to goto www.rotten.com or do i not want to goto www.rotten.com?" You have the CHOICE of "hmmmmm, do i want to watch the sopranos or do I not want to watch the sopranos?" For the kids who are younger, that choice is left to the parents. So Shambree and everyone else who feels that "this is disgusting, i feel it is disgusting, therefore, everyone should not be allowed to see this", please just stop this now. Just mind your own business, live your life within the guidelines and values of how you want to live your life, but DO NOT think that yours are by any means the absolute correct and proper way. Understood?

Well this is pretty obvious to most people, some tend to make things more difficult than they really are though.

The software that blocks this kind of thing is the most likey reason you can't access it on a school computer. Its law that school well organisation like school, colleges, universities and other institutions have to run the software at all times.
There are however ways to get around this, but it does border on hacking the school system (not hard core hacking though) and I would be in trouble to advise you to do so.
