Like the title says.

In cod 2 i seem to get a more constant fps of 200 with no overclock compared to an overclock - anyone know why?

A bottle neck is when you try to shove too much data through something with not enough bandwidth. It is kind of like the expression stuffing 10lbs of crap in a 5lb bag.

Overclocking is known to do this which is one of the reasons why there can be no benefit from it. You need to get a good motherboard which has the bandwidth to handle over clocking or just don't over clock.

no your FSB would be what connects the processor to the rest of the system (north bridge) and is where most of the data flows from your processor.

does increasing my pci e bus from 100 MHz to say 110 MHz offer me no increase in performance or stabilty?

not really you aren't over clocking any PCI-e device you are over clocking your processor which sends data through the front side bus.

Why don't you overclock the speeds of your cards. E.g. Change the Memory and core speed of your graphics card instead of just upping the pci up 10mhz.

he did already do that he says he over clocks and gets less performance

AFAIK you're not supposed to touch the PCI-e bus speed, same as the PCI bus, It can cause instability or damage to with the system. Anyways the PCI-e bus wouldn't be the problem, It can be a ton of things, It could be that you pushed the OC too far. By how much did you overclock?
