How much can the keyboard do vs. a remote?
To joeswm8:
The wireless keyboard, I already had in mind for a long time (just for surfing, typing etc.), but I never knew, I could use the keyboard to do everything the remote control could do.
Are you sure the keyboard can do everything the remote control can do? What about actually turning on the computer?
Does the computer have to be on all the time to just watch TV(which will be connected to my sat receiver)? what about when I want to quickly start recording something? what about programming to record a TV show at 8.30pm or whenever? Im planning to install that Twinhan? tuner card too, so I can watch certain HD channels in HD res, which my sat receiver can not do(its only SD)- so please keep that in mind.
Your right, the media cases are a ^%cking ripoff, but I never knew that with just any standard? wireless keyboard, I could change channels?, start recording?, playback? etc. Actually, if I have to change channels with the keyboard, I think I would rather use the remote. But please let me know exactly what the keyboard is capable of versus the remote.
Again, I have a satellite receiver, and I was told that I need a twinhan tuner card, so I could watch certain HD channels.
So, will I still use the remote control from my stb (set top box/sat receiver) to change channels?, even with the twinhan card installed for watching HD channels? or will I have to change channels via the keyboard? Changing channels via a keyboard seems a bit cumbersome to me.
Lastly, will the wireless keyboard be able to change my projector from "watching TV" mode to recording/playback TV mode to using internet, MSword etc.? How will I switch from TV mode to computer mode? Just press a button on the keyboard?
And finally, What do you mean by "they really go compared to some maxed out full and mid towers" How can the case have anything to do with the speed? the go?
