Why does everyone hate dell PCs?

I don't think Dell computers are necessarily for people who don't know much about computers. Some people know a lot about computers but only needs one for certain reasons not necessarily for the gaming etc.

All your doing is repeating what i said. Im not saying that Dells are only for people who don't know much about them. But thats who they cater to. They rely on people knowing only there name in computers.

So i never said that dells are only for computer illiterates. I have had a couple dells, both laptops and pcs. What i said is that they make most of there business from large companies who just want many standard pcs and people who don't know much about computers. Why do u think people who don't know much buy dell. On there site they tell you what they recommend in the machine and everything. you go to a store they have a list of the specs but a lot of people really dont understand those statistics.

Also building your own com isn't necessarily cheaper either. Ok building your own computer does mean you get higher performance for less than you would pay for a dell or any other brand with the equivalent specs but some people don't need it, and busy people don't have time to build their own one.

So that dosent make sense. You say its not necessarily cheaper to build your own but then you say that if u build one with equivalent specs its cheaper. Well of course youd build equivalent specs. Noone expects to get a much better build for the same price as a less equivalent dell. Wheres the logic there.

Anyways i already said that it is cheaper to build for the larger gaming computers bc thats when they start raising prices for a larger margin. The standard pcs that most users get from dell are of course going to be cheaper bc they throw in monitor and all accessories plus a decent computer most of the time nowadays for around $300-$400. thats hard to compete with building your own. And i already said that its more logical for a normal user to buy from a place like dell or whatnot.

So thanks for having me state my point again

Ok if i can explain more clearly, it is actually possible that you can buy a PC cheaper than you can build one! Also building a PC can require time and some people don't have time to build one either, which makes sence why some people would prefer to buy a pre-built PC.

Of course you can buy one from dell cheaper. Thats what ive been saying. The standard pcs that most consumers buy are definently cheaper than building your own bc they basically trow in the monitor and all the accessories. Thats hard to compete with. But i bet you wont be able to find a gaming computer from dell or like manufacture that is cheaper than a equivalent custom pc.

Well in my cases with dell it actually took me longer to get the computer from them working than the ones that ive built myself. But yes it usually takes more time to build your own....except that when you buy the parts there there in 3 days and you can build the pc in an hour at most with no problems. Then theres dell (or other manufactor) and they take your money and your order and say "itll be 10 days to build it then well ship it ground so thatll be another 3-6 days."

So truthfully it all depends on ur preference.
