Why does it open ask.com as my home page?

I downloaded something that set my home page to ask.com.

I re-set the home page to google.com, and when I open Firefox, it goes to google.com.

However, when I open a new tab, it goes to ask.com.

Run adwcleaner it will remove it. The link is in the sticky in the security section.
