why does pc qizard show a significantly lower Gz.... im worried

Hello

I am running this processor in this mobo

My friend and I have never overclocked before, so we thought we would try

Sadly, we failed miserably, and nothing could happen...

so we changed all the bios settings back to default

Now we're not sure what PC Wizard was showing before we tinkered with the bios, but now PC Wizard is stating that my CPU is running at 1200 MHz!!!!!!!

I am worried I messed up something... my friend says maybe the CPU just runs lower when theres not a heavy load??

Please make me feel better or tell me whats wrong

Your friends right. The CPU will lower the multiplier when idle, saving power.
