Why doesn't it work?

My computer (asus really good one) was starting fine, but when i turned it off at night and then back on in the morining it loads, but when i double click on a program the pointer is replaced by the hourglass and stays like that. i tried ctrl+alt+del and that brought the taskmanager (i am running XP) that said CPU 0% usage what the hell is going on???

HELP!

hehehe, BTW AD, aware not so good. try kaspersky and spybot. these can delete all those things out there
