Why i cant change my HD from master to slave?

I recently bought a new HD SATA3 to use as slave(2nd). All my cable are connect correctly and i used no jumper. But window doenst recognize when i start my PC. It installed a driver but i still cant acces my HD.

I went into bios and find out both my HD where set to master but i cant change my 2nd HD to slave...

Why and how do i change it?

There is no master/slave setting for SATA. You just need to initialize and partition the disk.

Right click on my computer->manage->expand the storage tree->click on disk management->find your new drive->right click on it and pick initialize->right click again and pick partition.
