My gaphics card works to the best of my knowledge but it is so loud now. i started to have a wurring problem which i thought was my Hdd but i later realised that it was my graphics card.

it just gets louder and louder and its sounds like a rocket engine but not as loud. what could be causing this if it is working?

Thank!!!

Are you sure its your video card, dont think I have saw a 9200 with a fan? sure its not the CPU or a case fan?

hmm i had a 9200 and it didnt have a fan maybe the newer models have it. My guess would be its a case fan or the cpu fan kicking in because of heat what are your temps running?

There are indeed 9200's with active cooling.

Maybe the little fan is about to die thus making more noise.

Well if it has a fan and the fan goes bad and stops working you better have a new card ready because your computer will not run for more then like 2 minutes with that card if the fan dies. I had one that had a fan die and after 2 minutes it got so hot it just shut down

soooo....just out of curiosity between the first post and the second post you managed to get a 9200 with a fan and it break? lol

Yeah my graphics card has a fan and the only temps that i can get are from the Hdd off speedfan and the computer in question is no longer on the internet so i cant DL anything else. and if your interested in my fan temp its always at about 35c. is that good?

Thanks!!!

you have a fan at 35c? you mean CPU?

Crazy

Well if the fans going out you can replace it for a few $s, but you can get a 9200 thru 9550 for about 30 or 35 bucks new.

nice one thanks for that. also i turned it off for about an hour. put it back on and then it was on for about 5 mins and then just turned off. i turned it back on and its been running fine. i can still watch videos and thats fine and it doesnt seem to b heating up at all. i dont get how?

yea if that fan went out or even you removed it yourself i don't believe it would make your card heat up to the point of frying or causing artifacts.....its not a real powerful card therefore doesn't really need the extra cooling but im sure you paid a little extra for it with a fan (manufacturers think it makes it look high tech so they can sell it for a little more)

Is it the right card...

Thanks for your all your help its been great and to be honest im actualy wondering if i have the card that ive said i have. how can i find out what card i actually have? i may have getting it wrong so if i can give the right card then some problems may be cleared up. thanks!!! :D

right click my computer...click properties...click on hardware tab...select device manager then click the + next to display adapters and it should say

its been working fine since yesterday and thats when i had the real trouble with it. what should i do, just wait and see what happens? its sounds better now and sounds as though its fixed itself! what you reckon?

i think one ( or both ) of the ball bearings are broke, or had some dirt in it.
try cleaning it up, and let it be for the time beeing.. if it starts making that noise again.. try ticking against the middle of the fan once, if the sound stops ( even if its for the fraction of a second) you know for sure its the bearings of your fan.
