Why is my battery life so little?

got mine january 2007 and 2 hours high performance, 3+ hours on balanced, 5+ hours on power saver

I say the best bet is to replace the batt and keep the old one incase thats not the issue. Also replacing the power supply is not a bad idea incase a Power Surge (Weather) damaged it. I know they are expensive though

yeah, i'd replace the batt if it still keeps dieing quickly.

My old compaq v6210us laptop, at staples the person told us we would get "2 hours or more", but we got around one hour.

yea, battery is arund $80 and power is around $100, def not worth it, unless i definately need it, thanks guys
