Why is the X850XT $40 cheaper than the 7600GS and alot better (in specs)??

They use more power, because they are more powerful..

makes sense...

lol

I don't think so, the X1650pro uses more power than the 7600GS or the GT and yet the 7600 leaves it coughing in its tracks. More power doesn't necessarily mean more graphical processing grunt.

it's "recertified".

Good reason not to buy, have you guys thought about why it is so cheap? It's by Sapphire, whom I've understood their cards are crap and it's recertified, DOUBLE "WHAMMY"!!

Exactly why I said "power-mongers", maybe next time I should say "PSU rapers".

It may have a better Core clock, but the Pixel fill rate matters a lot. Look how much earlier Nvidia released ahead of ATI and still ATI couldn't come up with anything better.

sapphire is actually a good brand, one of the most popular anyways..

it won't, but people around here are Nvidia fanboys and they take every opportunity to discredit an otherwise credible and very real competitor of Nvidia's..

I am using an ATI right now, and I am not impressed. I don't mean to discredit, Sapphire might be a good seller but not a great card, look at all the places it is sold at(below). For example, the Visiontek company(sold at Circuit City) is a good seller, but I have caught word of boxes with capacitors in the box and not on the card, because it is sold at Circuit City it is a good seller, therefore you assume that it is a good card. When I bought my Gfx card, I bought one directly from ATI, no middle-man company label. If Nvidia made one directly, instead of selling to EVGA, BFG Tech, or PNY, I would buy it.

Sorry, thought it was on task, that is basically what you have created.

Um no.. don't tell me what I created because all I asked is why is the thing so cheap, and used the 7600 in comparison to show why I think it's so cheap.

Anyways never again am i posting a thread with an nvidia card and an ati card in the same post.. never again..

Your question was answered, we created a big discussion out of it, I figured you could have learned a few things. But, nope, you choose to be unappreciative.

Yea despite our disagreement, we still provided him with plenty of info on both sides and speculated to why it is cheaper..

ofcourse the x850xt is wayy better! dont be fo0led by the old-ness and new-ness.

why newer mid-end generation card is more expensive than high-end yesterday generation is cuz its about new-ness. many of people go for new-ness regardless of anything! people sell for fo0ls!

if ur smart like me... u will cho0se x850xt/pe over any mid-end new gen card such as x1600s, 7600s.

so straight to the thread question..... teh answer is cuz its about new-ness. but sometimes new-ness does not mean its better.
