Why is upload speed so less?

I tried 3 speedtest tests and I got download speed results nicely but the speedtest failed to give the upload tests two times the third time I saw then my upload speed was near to zero. I posted the third result below.
I am pretty sure my upload speed is the reason I am getting lag on BF3 and other games online.
Many websites also taking time to load. What could be the reason? My actual upload speed should be 2MBPS.

Probably because you have ADSL. This stands for asymmetric digital subscriber line.

Asymmetric means not balanced. One is bigger than the other. Its a characteristic of the technology.

That's ADSL for you... here's mine:

ADSL supports a maximum of 1Mbps, and 2Mbps with Annex M, from what I understand.

Chances are you got advertised maximum speeds, but the reality is that you will get anywhere between nothing and the maximum speed, depending on your location from the exchange.
