Why Microsoft Edge not recognizing digital signatures on PDFs?

Microsoft Edge is not allowing me to edit PDFs. I have used Microsoft Edge in the past on these exact same PDF files (they are tax forms downloaded from IRS website). All of a sudden, it doesn't work. I am having to open them in Google Chrome or Firefox and they work fine (except sometimes when they seemingly randomly don't save the changes, and I always have to click "Yes" when asked if I want to save over the existing file instead of simply pushing Ctrl+S to save). I downloaded Firefox recently. Could that be the cause of the issue?
 
I un-installed Firefox and the problem remains. I edited these exact same files with Microsoft Edge just last week. No clue what's going on.
