why my firefox2 starts slowly?

ver : firefox 2
ram 512
1,73 ghz notebok

when i doublel click on firefox, i have to wait 6 seconds untill it opens?
how can i fix it.?
all is ok with IE 6.
i dont use any skin but i use 3 add ons
 
i had reinstalled it. but no results, i gotta wait 6sec. wven when all my programs all close but its starts slowly. but what about you? how much you wait untill it starts?
 
6 seconds really isn't that bad. Is 6 seconds really that long of a wait; it's not an eternity and do you really need to shave off that 3-4 seconds?

What are those 3 add ons that you have and what processor is that on your notebook? Also, do you have a lot of background programs running on your notebook?
 
Is your hard drive defragmented?
Mine takes around 2 seconds as well, and I have quite a few extensions and things.
