I cleaned all the dust inside of my PC, and now, my video card does not works.

It was working fine but now, i just get a "check video cable connection" message but nothing else.

what is strange, is that i got video card from a friend to see if it was the video card, but no, still did not work. I tried the same video card in my Other PC which is was working fine, and after i tried the video card, i am getting the same message: "check video cable connection".
in other words, the video is messeed up in my other PC too.

Now, both of them are giving me the same message: "check video cable connection"

what happened? I don't understand! can someone please tell how to fix this problem? thanx!

Maybe when you were handling the card/components, you were statically charged, damaging it. Did you wear an anti-static bracelet? Seems unlikely, but this is the first thing that springs to mind for me, someone else may have a better suggestion, and I hope for your sake that I'm wrong, I do believe static is one of those fatal things for computer components.

Also be sure to check all the cables and that all cards are properly inserted. Is your computer booting at all? Do the lights come on? Do the fans spin? Does the hard drive and optical drives spin up as well? Or does it just sit ther doing nothing?

Do you see anything from the moment you hit the power button you can't see any lettering etc?

If you can see the BIOS boot up boot into safe mode..uninstall the GPU drivers and reinstall should fix the issue.

Also you don't need a wrist band...just make sure your grounded to something metal will do just fine. I usually use the side of my case and never had a issue yet after 12+ builds.

Also when hooking your buddies GPU up your inserting the monitor to HIS GPU back instead of the on-board correct?
