Why won't Kindle Textbook Creator work?

I am trying to put a book on amazon.

I have it in .pdf and they told me to download Kindle Textbook Creator to get it in the format they need.

I downloaded it and installed it and when I try to run it, it says...

"The procedure entry point SleepConditionVariableCS could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

I should rephrase...

I ran sfc/scannow... and it said some system files were not working propertly, although it didn't tell me which ones. I don't have the disc. Is there any way to see which files don't work and get them working without having the disc?
