Hi,

I have just bought a 4GB sd card but my inbuilt card reader won't recognise it. When i try opening up the drive, it freezes My Computer.
However my 1GB sd card works in the drive fine.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Na, i've only got the one computer with a card reader.

Everytime i use the 1GB card its fine, then freezes with the 4GB card.

Could the card be too big for the computer to read.

I'm quite sure anything above 2GB is considered SDHC, and not all devices will read such cards. I know my card reader just shows a blank card.

I don't know for sure that everything above 2GB is considered SDHC, but the size of the card definitely could be the problem. If your card reader that is built in to the computer is 2 years or more older it probably won't read anything bigger than 2GB, SDHC or not.
