i bought a computer in feburary 2005 and the box says computer processor speed operates at 2.40 ghz and on the system properties it says 1.81ghz what is wrong. also Do i need anymore ram or is it enough.

I have an AMD that is 2.40ghz and was running at 1.0ghz. Go to control panel>>>performance and maintenance>>>power options>>>under power schemes select home/office desk.
