WIdnows vista home premium Problem

Hey all. Recently my pc has been failing to boot up fully. It is running fine when in windows but sometimes i boot it up and it gets past the screen where you can go into the bios then gets stuck on a black screen.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?


In windows its fine not a problem but when that happens it fails to do anything.


I have tried reinstalling windows but to no avail.

Its a hardware issue. Usually either hard drive or memory, sometimes a cdrom drive. Run memtest on individual sticks and then run the diagnostic program for the brand of hard drive you have.
