i get a really wierd error when installing windows xp 64-bit, after the formatting and initial setup copying files it reboots and tries to continue setup when the error comes up with

"setup was unable access files needed to continue. This could be caused by an error on the cd media or the cd is no longer present in the drive."

what do you think can be causing this?
i mean i had 32 bit version installed nicely but upgraded to 64 bit because of 8gb ram.

:confused::confused::confused:

When it reboots the first time it boots to the harddrive and accesses the CD/DVD drive to finish the install. When it reboots does it get to the Windows loading screen then pops up the error trying to accesses the DVD drive or does the error pop up right off.

it loads to the windows screen and says 39 minutes left then the error pops up. :(
