Wierd Problem W/ mobo and ram

i recently bought a mobo and i put com together and i tried to boot it up but nothin shows up on screen. i'm thinking it's a ram problem. ne help???
 
Do you get any beep sounds? Are the fans running? Do you hear the hard drive spin up? Does the power light on the front of your case light up?
 
well when i built it i couldn't find a light so i just used a reset switch as a power button.as for the fan thay do power up idk if the HD powers i would have to listen and see
