wifi help please

I have windows 7 64bit my wireless will show all the networks that are available but when i try to connect it it would say "windows was unable to connect to netgear or other networks what do i need to do to fix this my wireless adapter works everything works just dont know why i can't connect to wireless network. Wired cable works fine i get connected and get internet.

yes i have everything works fine all the networks are visible it just keeps saying unable to connect to that network.

If you have security on the router you may have to disable it in order to try to connect to it. Some wireless adapters have issues with security and that sounds like whats happening here.

You need to access the router's configuration page by entering in it's ip address in your browser. What brand and model of wireless router do you have? Is it the netgear? Which model?
