wifi help

hi i should warn you that i am a silly girl that knows nothing about computers and this may be a stupid question. hence why i am asking strangers, to save myself the embarrassment.

there is a free wifi hotspot near my house that i can only reach if i go outside. i want the free internet but i really dont want to move my desk to my porch. is there something like an antenna i can install outside that will boost the signal so my labtop can reach it from outside.

yes, however i dont think it will work outside. if the siginal works near a garadge or somewhere away from the weather, you can buy a wireless repeter.
