Hey experts,

im new to this.. When i get to a hot spot will my computer automatically detects the signal or should i search for it manually? Can any laptop do it? Or what els do i need?

Your laptop should automatically detect it, you will still have to connect to it manually though. There may or may not be security on the connection, so you may want to ash wherever your at.
 
Does your laptop even have wireless? What model of laptop do you have? Are all drivers installed?

Do you know the exact model number you have? Are you sure this laptop has wireless built in and is enabled in the bios and has the driver properly installed?
 
Look in device manager and look for a wireless adapter under network adapters. What items are listed under network adapters?
 
None of those are wireless adapters. Do you have any items that are listed as unknown devices or pci devices that need drivers installed? It would help if you could tell me the exact model number that you have so I can look up the specs to see if it even has wireless capability.
 
I can't help you any further until you give me the exact model number of the laptop you have. Without that, I can't tell if it has built in wireless or not.
 
Sorry, but that model has no wireless lan adapter. You could go buy a usb wireless adapter or buy an external card for it.
 
Depends on where you live. Go to a computer store and ask one of the associates to help you out. I can't recommend anything without knowing where you live and what stores are near you.
 
Okay thanx, i think this is the last question, which 1 wil b da best? And my laptop wil b able 2 connect to any wifi connection when im at a hot spot?
