WiFi Motherboard or wireless PCI card?

Ok, I am curious if it is better to go with a wireless PCI card or a WiFi-capable motherboard for a wireless internet connection. Is there much of a difference? I am in the process of researching a new build, and just want to have as much information as possible. I have used both, and haven't noticed any large difference, but they were both on older systems. I am not sure if there is a larger difference in the new components available.

I'd go with the PCI card just for the capability of adding/removing it if it fails or something, and also because it would then be upgradeable.
 
Thats how i have been feeling about it. I then would have the ability to upgrade and/or re-use the pci card.
