Wifi PCI N Adaptor

Hi, I have a NETGEAR modem\router DGN2000 Wifi N. With it I'm able to get AWESOME reception with my laptop down the back office.

My office located in the back yard about 30meters away from router, In side house...
For the moment,,,In order to get my desktop on the net I have to bridge my laptop too my desktop via Ethernet with great results.
But what I would like to do is find\OR at lest get a better\clear idea of a high end PCI wifi N adaptor for my desktop that's going to do the job. I have spent $80 on a Ralink model with very disappointing out come. And 3-4 days researching this topic and can't find a clear answer.

I have researched these models but it's still unclear if they will do the job intended for.
1.) D-Link - DWA Xtreme N PCI Express Adapter 556
2.) Netgear - N300 Wireless PCI Adapter

Only people with Helpful relevant wireless N pci,, opinions please.

Okay the general opinion is to stick with one brand, even though most brands say there products are (draft) multi compatible with each other. By sticking with same brand products you're going to achieve better results.:good:

So I've ended up purchasing 2X NETGEAR W311B Wireless N PCI adaptors. With this unit the antenna is on a lead, which in turn should provide better signals as it's away form interference from the computer, and off the floor.

The wireless N series, has proven a to provide a stronger signal over more area and is capiable multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) which provides a stronger reliable signal...

So I will return with the results, when I've completed testing.....

for odds and ends stuff, i honestly would look at a rosewill wireless adapter, i have used em for hooking people up to wifi on the cheap (their about twenty bucks so how can you really lose?) and they typically work well as long as you dont use their bundled management software and let windows handle the connection, honestly if i could get a desktop based intel card, id get that, the intel cards to me are simply the best software/hardware combination alas i dont think they make one

brand does not matter, they all have to talk to eachother and all abide by the same rules, so just pick what you feel has better reviews honestly, using a dlink dwl-g520 and been using it for the past four years in 2 or 3 different builds, has worked wonderfully, no N support but eh, its a desktop, i dont need range really

Okay smart ass, what type of card is you "rosewill wireless adapter" if you paid $20 for a wifi card it's NOT a>> HIGH END Wireless N model. This what the whole thread is regarding High range WiFi N series. And guess why I need a high performance wifi effectively operate my network . Not doggie $20 cards

And $20 cards you only get what you pay for and I'm sure Your $20 card wouldn't be getting any decent signal range or performance. Your card is the same as what i purchase earlier

And like I explained the Ralink (Cheap Chinee RUBBISH...!)

Okay I have tested and set up my home network.. Using WN311B NETGEAR adaptors,, And have found a huge difference to easily run (Via Remote Desktop "Radmin")my home network wirelessley. There are no interrupted signal downtime with a stronger signal too. Thanks to software and firmware updates.
