Right,i have a new laptop(oldish but good enough). Its a medion 41567 .
It says on several reviews that this laptop has wifi built in plus i also see the wifi button on the laptop itself.

can someone tell me how to enable or start using the wifi?

p.s.i have been through the connections (network connections) and only see the local area connection which i am using now.

It doesnt show the wireless connections option thing where you can connect to existing wireless ssid's.

thanks guys.

Download PC Wizard and see if it shows a wireless card. I'm pretty sure it'll show it in then overview regardless if drivers are loaded.

If you don't see this, or care to take the more hands on approach, I'd suggest simply looking for a wifi card. Most laptops have a little door that can be removed to access the card. Either there's one on the bottom, or sometimes it's under the keyboard. Or the rare chance where it is buried inside the laptop somewhere, which of course involves ripping the whole thing apart :P

Anything show in the device manager under network adapters or any unknown devices that need drivers?
