WiFi question

ok here is my question.


Is there any wifi adaptor that u can use to detect signal (rideing down the road)
Vers. the wifi service you can get from the cell phne carrier?


basicall can i get something to hook up to my somputer to detect a internet signal while rideing in a car??

You can get those USB mobile sticks! Alot of providers have them!

something to pick up free wifi or some public signal (i guess that would be called nonsecure connection). The phone companys want to charge a ass load for there service..

As far as picking up free 'hot spots' I'm betting that its gonna be slow and sketchy at best! As you move along--you'd have to keep switching connections!

I just think i could spend 100 bucks and get just as good service as joining the carrier plan for wireless.

im going to be in town but occasional be in the country so finding a hot spot is kinda a good chance. I see what you are talking about,but if there is something out there like that site?

Well, me personally..I'm a skeptic!

I wouldn't trust a wifi antenna unless I could try it for free for several weeks and it was proven!

I dunno, maybe someone else here has actual experience or input on those, but I would not hold my breath that its gonna work...and work reliably!!
