I'm a Geometry Wars fan, so of course I would say Geometry Wars (if you like arcade shooters). Also, Mario is a great game on the Wii.
mario galaxy is a must have. it is my favorite mario game, even including the classics.
mario kart, and smash bros.... also there was a game called trauma second opinion where you basically operate on patients. the motion detection is put to good use. a pretty quirky and fun title. aside from those, good luck finding anything worth playing. the wii is plagued by third party titles that are embarrassingly horrible.

Yup, to me the Wii is a gimmick. There is no "must have" titles that would force me to purchase one (my sister has one). Mario, and SSB are good, but that's about it. And I agree with the third party titles, they are terrible.

Hey there. I hope you're enjoying your Wii. We mostly play the sports games that came with it. I did have Tiger Woods 09 on it for a while and it was fun.
Once I'd had the Wii for a while, I really missed having a "standard" controller and a larger game selection. I've since acquired an Xbox 360 which I love.
But the Wii is a great family console. Bowling is our family's favorite game on it.
