Okay folks..

Long story short.. I nearly just geeked myself into a coma when I discovered that Wii has this virtual console thing..

Basically I can play old NES and SNES games via their estore..

My question is--can you play Wii Virtual console titles on the Wii U..

are they all part of the same "virtual store" or are certain titles only for Wii U.

Thanks..

I am dying to play vintage Zelda and FF3

Well if u get a WiiU you can still everything that the regular wii does. The only thing is, is if you want to play any kind of wii games (including virtual console) you need the old wii remotes. The virtual console on the WiiU menu (becase in order to play vc and wii games on the from the original wii you have a seperate menu) are games that you can use the wiiU classic controller or the gamepad via on the gamepad screen. I know kinda confusing

I have a Wii U, and yes, you can. But you need a Wii Remote. The Wii U bassicly has a Wii emulator built in, and then you run that to go to the Wii E-shop whichhas hundreds of classic titles. The Wii U E-shop has a few, but less than 20. I am quite unhappy with the Wii U, if you REALLY want NES and SNES titles, go with it, but otherwise it's a much better idea to go with the PS4 or even Xbox One. You could get a Wii for like 40 bucks on Craigslist and get a PS4 also.
