Will a Geforce 6200A AGP card work with my PC?

i have a 2002 compaq presario 6000 XP home service pack 2 Desktop
AMD athlonXP 2400+
VIA Technologies, Inc. KM266-8235 motherboard
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD AM37307 11/28/2002
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 AGP
Creative SB Live

also will a Biostar GeForce 6800 XT / 256MB DDR2 / AGP 8x / DVI / VGA / TV Out / Video Card work too? because the pc came with a geforce card does that mean that ATI cards like the X1550 or Radeon 9550 are out of the picture for me?

Yeah that card will be fine, I`d make sure you have a PSU that is more than 300W though.

No you should be able to use ATi AGP cards with that PC too.
 
thanks for the info ghost, it makes me feel a bit better but how are you sure of this? i thought that it would all be good but i read somewhere on the net about a person who previously had a geforce and upgraded to newer geforce and problems arised so that is why i must be sure. about the power supply, im guessing ill have to take a look inside to find that out. i can do that, thanks for the power recommendation too.
 
A Nvidia or ATI GPU card both will work fine, either one you get, just uninstall the old video card drivers before you shut down to put the new card in. When you reboot install the new card drivers.
