Ok well im running CoD4 at Avg 20 - 25 FPS.

Well i wanna know, with my comp specs, will a GPU help much in getting my FPS to 50s or even sixties.

Im looking at the 9800GTX or GX2

I dont mind playing at 25fps but then i want top graphics then (fullAA/AF and all in game options)

SO will it help?

most defiantly a new GPU will get u a lot more FPS.
I had a look in your sig it says (Want to get a GeForce 8800GTS 512MB, do i need a better comp for this card) ancer no u don't need a better computer just get the card a whack it on an enjoy playing 99% of games on high with good resolution

cool thanks. Well im waiting for the new line of Super cards from Nvidia, so that other prices can come down (ultra please)

if not GTS it is.

so how many frames can i expext to get with a 9800GTX or GX2 with my currunt computer.

Screen im gonna get (HP pavilion at 1440x900)

so how much can i expect?

gees so then with that setup i would get about 80FPS

so then with a GX2 i would expect about.... 150+?

I think i might just go for the 9800GTX cause of power issue

EDIT: Ive been looking at reviews and lots of them, using core 2 extreme processors and top systems only get about 60 frames at 1280x1024. so my system will get much less

the only review that uses a reasonable CPU (E8400OC to 3.6Ghz compared to an extreme) is this and the frames look good, but the rest of the sites have the same low scores
