last me first say that i know this isnt really a good build, just a (tight) budget build.
motherboard:Intel® Desktop Board DQ35JO link to specs: http://ark.intel.com/products/50382/intel-desktop-board-dq35jo

cpu: Intel® Celeron® Processor E1400 link to specs: Intel® Celeron® Processor E1400

and ram: 2GB PC2-6400U-666 DDR2-800 pin240-(x3)

also a 500gb hdd, and a dvdrw drive.(not really relevant i dont think though

from my research, it all seems to play well together, but im not as build-savvy as id like:(. so i was hoping someone more experienced could chime in and let me know. thanks in advanced. looking forward to some input b4 i buy.:good:

like i said, budget build. and this is gonna run me about 75$. some of the stuff i already have. this pc will just be for downloading and watching movies. not gaming. i just not a desktop, and untill i have a better income, a computer cant wait. in the meantime the question is, are all the parts compatable?????

and yea, the cpu is waaay old. the board supports the xeon quad. so i planned on switching if the build does work out. but that cpu is just an old one i have sittin around.

Ok, so you do have an outdated motherboard. You really need to save money and get a better build. The 775 slot is dead and the 775 xeons were meant for servers not desktops.

If anything go AMD AM3+ build. Totally wasting your money on old technology.

the budget for this build is under 100$ it is only meant for downloading tv/movies, and watching tv/movies. i AM NOT looking for something amazing that i can game with. no offense, but can you, or someone please just answer if these parts will work.................................together..........
i honestly dont care how outdated such parts are...

thank yo for the answer. now that i have an answer, since u all seem to mention that theres better options... i have plenty of ddr2 and ddr3 ram. the hddd im buying is 25, and the dvdrw drive is 15. i have the shell already, and psu. 100$-15-25=60. i would need to find a motherboard/cpu combo for 60$. see my dilemma? but if u know of where such a deal can be found for 60$ or under, and is more current, i would value that input...know that my questions been answered lol

oh, btw, i have a pc for gaming thats nice, and a beast laptop. this comp is strictly for downloading stuff from bittorrent, and i needed to keep the hdds of my other pcs clear. and as u all know, a beast comp setup isnt needed for just downloading, and playing movies/tv shows.
