seems like they are compatible, according some random reviews... but it doesn't look like the input/output area on the motherboard there won't fit out the back of the case?

ok, how about the slots spacing.. are they universal?

i'd hate to buy these two and not have them work together :o

yes...the PCI slots are universal for all ATX motherboards;)

That motherboard will fit like a glove:D

****EDIT****

Can you post a list of EVERYTHING you plan on buying? That way we can look it over for ya.

oook,,,

antec 900 case
intel dx58s0 mobo
intel core i7 860 cpu
ocz platinum 6g memory
corsair 750hx power supply
couple of sata hard drives..
radeon hd 4890 video card
fast track pro audio
a whatever dvd burner, keyboard, mouse
some fancy lights and unnecessary goodies, etc...
65 inch monitor

if this one annoys me i'm going 100% mac ;)

That processor will not work with that motherboard.

The DX58SO is a socket 1366 motherboard.

The Core i7 860 is a socket 1156 processor.

I'm glad Scout asked you to post the rest of your build.

Also the 6gb memory you have im guessing you ordered in a triple channel kit. Will not work well with that motherboard either. Upgrade the motherboard to a triple ch support and 1156 if you want that cpu

What's you total budget?

Let us just start from scratch and help you choose parts. The motherboard you have selected is $250 for an Intel board...there are better products to choose at that price range.

There are many people here that will help you pick the best hardware dollar for dollar.
