Will an ATI mobo support XFX Graphics card?

Thats the mobo I have right now and I'm wanting to buy this graphics card to go with it:

A friend told me that they might not agree with eachother and that I should probably just stick to an ATI graphics card, is he correct?

As long as the socket (PCIe) is right, then any card will fit. All you need is the drivers once you get into Windows.

The fact that it's either an nVidia or ATI video card paired with an nVidia or ATI chipset doesnt make a difference, they still perform the same.

one of my rigs is nforce2 with a 9800pro and it STILL runs great ... It's my secondary gaming rig for when my friends come over to game with me
